We&rsquo;ll assume Mode 2 (American Hand) configuration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Understanding Mode 2 Controls (American Mode):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Left Stick:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Up\/Down:<\/strong> Controls Throttle (Ascend\/Descend).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Left\/Right:<\/strong> Controls Yaw (Rotate Left\/Rotate Right).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Right Stick:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Up\/Down:<\/strong> Controls Pitch (Fly Forward\/Backward).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Left\/Right:<\/strong> Controls Roll (Fly Left\/Right).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Manual (M+) Operation <\/strong><strong>Workflow<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pre-Flight:<\/strong> Complete all pre-flight checks as outlined in Lesson 07.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enter Manual Mode:<\/strong> In the Agri Assistant App, ensure you are in a manual control mode like M+.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Set Parameters:<\/strong>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Adjust operational parameters like target application rate (dosage per acre\/hectare), desired flight altitude, spray droplet size\/flow rate, or spreader rate\/width as needed for the task.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Take-off:<\/strong>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure the area is clear.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unlock motors using the appropriate stick command.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Smoothly increase the throttle (left stick up) to lift off vertically.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ascend to a safe initial altitude.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Flying:<\/strong>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use the right stick for directional movement (forward, backward, left, right).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the left stick (left\/right) to control the drone&rsquo;s heading (yaw).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the left stick (up\/down) to control altitude.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain smooth, controlled inputs. Avoid abrupt stick movements.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Spraying\/Spreading:<\/strong>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use the designated button on the RC or app interface to start\/stop spraying or spreading manually. In M+ mode, the application rate often adjusts automatically with flight speed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Obstacle Awareness:<\/strong>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Continuously scan the flight path visually and via the FPV feed for obstacles (trees, power lines, poles, people, animals).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remember that obstacle avoidance radar provides assistance but does not replace pilot vigilance. Be prepared to take manual evasive action.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Landing:<\/strong>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Choose a clear, flat landing spot.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Approach the landing zone slowly and controllably.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Smoothly decrease the throttle (left stick down) to descend vertically.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once landed, lower the throttle stick completely.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lock the motors using the appropriate stick command (e.g., both sticks down and outwards) or wait for auto-lock (throttle low for 3 seconds).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Post-Flight:<\/strong> Power down the drone (disconnect battery) first, then the remote controller.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Practice these basic controls in an open area until you feel comfortable and proficient.
